Return Policy
At American Quality Health Products (AQHP), we are committed to a pleasant shopping experience. If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, we will make every effort to give you peace of mind. Please read our Return Policy to verify that your purchase is eligible for a return. If your purchase qualifies, use our Contact Form to start the return process.
Shipping Damage
All damages must be reported within 24 hours of delivery. Please inspect your product immediately upon receipt.
- If there is significant damage, refuse the delivery and take photos when possible.
- If packaging shows dents, holes, or tears, note the damage on the delivery receipt when signing and take photos before and after opening.
- For concealed damage, missing items, or incorrect products, take photos and contact us immediately.
- If no signature was required but damage is present, take photos before and after opening the package.
To report shipping damage, please email us or call 1-855-563-9900. Provide photos and/or video when available. We will arrange for the item to be repaired or replaced promptly.
Defective Merchandise
If your item is not working properly or is defective, please email us or call 1-855-563-9900. We will assist in resolving any technical issues and, if necessary, arrange for the item to be repaired or replaced promptly.
Return Policy Guidelines
Most products may be returned within 14 days of receipt and are subject to a 20% restocking fee. Please review the following guidelines to ensure proper credit:
- All returns require a Return Authorization (RA) number — products returned without one will not be credited.
- The RA number must be clearly labeled on the outside of the return package.
- Once an RA number is issued, the product must be shipped back within 5 days.
- Products must be in new, unused condition with no cracks, scratches, dirty or marked tires, or any signs of use.
- All items must be returned in their original packaging with all parts, accessories, and instructions included. Contact customer service to purchase replacement packaging for scooters and lift chairs.
- Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer.
- Shipping charges, insurance, customs fees, White Glove delivery, and expedited shipping charges are non-refundable once the product has shipped.
- Accidental Protection plans (CPS) are non-refundable once the product has shipped.
- Orders cancelled by 5:00 PM Eastern Time on the same business day will receive a full refund, provided the order has not yet shipped.
- Orders paid by credit card and cancelled after 5:00 PM Eastern Time (but before shipping) are subject to a 3% processing fee charged by the credit card gateway.
- If an item is returned to the wrong address, additional shipping fees to redirect it to the correct location may be charged.
Return Authorization Number
A Return Authorization (RA) number is required for all returns. To request one, please email us or call 1-855-563-9900. Include your order number, name, and the item number you are returning.
- RA numbers must be requested within 14 days of delivery.
- Products returned without an RA number will not be credited.
Return Shipping
Unless AQHP made an error, return shipping costs are the customer's responsibility. Once your RA number is issued, please arrange shipment back to the address provided. We strongly recommend insuring larger items for their full retail value to protect against shipping damage.
Non-Returnable Items
We reserve the right to make adjustments based on typographical errors, product changes, and discontinuations. Product images may not always represent the actual product.
The following items are non-returnable:
- Pride lift chairs
- Golden Technologies lift chairs
- Independence Sit-to-Stand Bed System
- Powered Rotor Assist Bed for Homecare (Easy Exit Bed by Great Life Healthcare)
- Parts and accessories
- Batteries
- Special order or custom request items
- Non-stock or built-to-order items
- Items customized by the customer
- Used items no longer in resalable condition
- Items missing packaging, parts, or instructions
- Items specifically marked non-returnable
The following manufacturer custom-made products are non-returnable:
- Custom wheelchairs
- Lift chairs with custom fabrics and/or heat and massage options
- Golden Technologies lift chairs
- Pride lift chairs
For hygienic reasons, the following products are non-returnable:
- Bathroom products
- Mattresses
- Slings
- Braces
- Cushions and backs
- Powered Rotor Assist Bed for Homecare (Easy Exit Bed by Great Life Healthcare)
- Independence Sit-to-Stand Bed System
Cancelled Orders & Refused Shipments
Order Cancellation
All customer-initiated cancellations are subject to a 20% restocking fee. Because many orders ship the same day — sometimes within hours of being placed — cancellation windows may be very short.
- Standard Orders: Cancellations are only permitted before the order is processed or sent to the delivery queue.
- Custom Products: These orders are final and cannot be cancelled after 24 hours of placement.
Post-Shipping Cancellations
If your order has already shipped, it is no longer eligible for cancellation. In this case:
- Accept the delivery.
- Request a Return Authorization (RA) number from AQHP.
- Ship the item back to the address provided with your RA number.
Refused Deliveries
If you refuse delivery without following the return process, the following deductions will apply to your credit:
- Original shipping costs
- Return shipping costs
- A 20% restocking fee (minimum $25)
Refunds
Once your return has been received and processed in accordance with our return policy, you can expect a credit to be issued within 4 weeks. This timeframe accounts for return transit, our processing time, and your credit card or bank processing time. If you paid by check or money order, a check will be issued within 30 days.
